This is some strange slice of life, so if you're only interested in my art ramblings, please drop this entry, will ya. All other may proceed at their own risk.
***I should've known this would be some weird weekend, when my cat smashed my art nouveau vase at 4.53 a.m Friday morning/night. There's simply no place save from him and a bitter end had always hung like Damocles' sword over this beloved piece of decoration since the very beginning. I hate self-fulfilling prophecies like nothing else in the world. REALLY. Right now, I'm trying to glue together the pitiful remnants to no avail. Le sigh.
***Have you ever been stranded on a 90s party? It has to be retro fun to no end - but let me tell you it is strangely embarrassing when you are in your early thirties and know en detail the lyrics of each song that's played. Songs you never even liked. Like NOT.AT.ALL. I've never danced to Britney Spears 'Lucky' until that fateful evening and I swear to God, that I never will do it again - but, hey, I'd payed entry for this shit, so I better had to enjoy it to its fullest. It's an unsolved mystery why a DJ choose songs like this, when they could've played Nirvana or the Bloodhound Gang instead.
***Let's not mention that I had to drive home by taxi because I just forgot, that Berlin's Ringbahn is out of service in the early hours of the morning. Meh.
*** There's always that one, unfaithful place in your city, where you don't really like to go, because of reasons. In my case it's Göritzer Park with its myriads of drug dealers and other creature of the night. Searching for a friend exactly there wasn't on my agenda of things I would like to do on a bright late sunday afternoon, believe me. Especially if you can't find this person.
***I attended a high rope course with my sister and really managed to finish the hardest piste when the guard on ground did a brotherly pat on our shoulders to announce that we now would be fit to join the army. 'What the fuck' graces it only peripherally.
***I came home to find a notice on FB that my Mom accidentally swallowed a bee and is in hospital. She's fine by now, but managed to break her toe the other day, when released home, while stepping over her dog. Something is definitely wrong there, some unfortunate star or something, but at least she's alive. Those are the moments I curse that I'm thousand kilometers away from home.
It can't be helped. I'm in dire need for vacation by now.
